Matador Hybrid Carbon is the blade used by Luka Mladenovic and has been specifically tailored to his playing style: High speed for topspin attacks with inverted rubbers and remarkable effectiveness when using special rubbers. This OFF+ blade features a layer of Hybrid Aramid Carbon on the forehand side and a layer of Texalium on the backhand side, each situated beneath the outer ply. The outer veneers remain unchanged, offering a rather hard yet relatively sensitive touch. The Matador Hybrid Carbon is characterised by its very fast, stiff, and “direct” feel. It allows for extremely aggressive attacking play with either inverted or offensive pimpled-out rubbers. Both controlled opening spins and powerful smash spins are easy to execute. The Hybrid Aramid Carbon fiber material on the forehand side ensures maximum speed and spin, while the Texalium on the backhand side provides better control. Like all other models in the proven Matador series, Matador Hybrid Carbon is excellent for playing with offensive pimpled-out rubbers and anti-spin rubbers, as it produces a low ball trajectory and very good spin reversal. Therefore, it is equally a weapon for modern, uncompromising power play and a highly effective blade for special rubbers. The forehand side (with carbon fibers) is the one with the lens “Dr. Neubauer Matador Hybrid Carbon”. The backhand side (with Texalium fibers) is the one with the lens “Luka Mladenovic”.
