DHS Hurricane Long 5H

The Hurricane Long 5H is a new inner-fiber blade released by DHS in 2025. Designed for the modern power looper, it combines advanced fiber technology with refined construction for exceptional speed, precision, and stability. The blade features a 5+2H inner-fiber composition built around DHS’s newly developed H Ultra-Dense Fiber. Compared to traditional arylate-carbon, this material increases weave density by 30% and offers higher rigidity, while maintaining a balanced toughness between ZL fiber and AL fiber. The core uses straight-grain Ayous, made 0.1 mm thicker than in the Hurricane Long 5 for extra power reserves. The Long 5H is engineered for explosive offense. With medium-strength strokes, the ball can reach speeds of up to 28.5 m/s. The thickened core produces powerful, penetrating shots. In the short game, the blade offers a crisp, responsive touch reminiscent of hard, springy all-wood designs, ensuring precise control in pushes, flicks, and delicate placements. The backhand excels in quick rebound and acceleration, allowing fast counters with pinpoint accuracy. From mid to long distance, the Long 5H demonstrates outstanding consistency, maintaining its power with minimal drop-off during extended rallies.
